I've itallicize the characters I'd like to see played, though some characters already in play could easily fill those spots.

Family

Father Auclair- Melisande and her father have a strained relationship. He wanted her to be a boy and blames her for her mother's inability to have children because she wasn't a boy, he expects her to be everything else he wants in a child. Which is basically an ornament to show off.He expects her to marry a respectable man who'll be the son he never had, but fears she'll never be a good enough wife for any man. Melisande respects her father, she understands that he is trying to do what he thinks is best for her so for the most part, she does what he asks her to do, but the second he isn't looking, she's off doing something horrible. Recently, their relationship has gotten worse. Melie resent being taken from France, and has been acting out in a less private manor.

Mother Auclair- she's the perfect wife that Melisande is expected to be. Melisande is much closer to her mother than her father, the two have been known to have a heart-to-heart every now and then.

Half-sister- though Melisande is her mother's only child, it's quite possible that her father has had an affair or two. I only suggest a sister because had her father been aware that he had a son, he'd have probably claimed him, but if you can think of a reason he wouldn't know his mistress had his child, a brother works just as well.

[info]executechange-Alex is Melisande's favorite cousin. The two visited each other often as children, and were always very close. Melisande is one of the few people who's allowed to call him Alex, and he in-turn calls her Melie. It was Alex who got Melisande interested in the resistance, and helped her to be herself a little more. She loves her cousin dearly, and wishes she could be more brave like him.

Friends

[info]only_daughter -Melisande think it's silly of patience to want to marry so badly. She doesn't really understand the girl. They're an odd pair, and they've done their fair share of insulting, but at the end of the day Patience is Melisande's only friend.

Others

[info]dela_mort -Medium the Melisande met in a pub one night. Melisande hopes to become a regular client of Beth's.

[info]affranchis - Vincent once worked odd jobs for the Auclair family while in France. Melisande developed a fascination with him, as well as a friendship. she hasn't seen him since the family left France.

[info]tigersatthegate-Melie has ran into him on several occasions, the two have only exchanged a few words, but she would like to get to know him better.

[info]paddybyrne -Charming man Melisande met in a pub one night, she has a bit of a crush on him.

[info]milesaminute-Melisande's favorite Author, she hopes to meet him one day.

[info]needlessly -A little boy Melisande encountered while buying fish one day.
